I joined an argument of strangers once. It was a couple that was loudly arguing about how long it takes to get ready and blah blah blah. The lady was SCREAMING at this guy because he was annoyed they had been late for their reservation due to how long she took to get ready.

After about 10 minutes of them going back and forth there was a pause and since they were sitting right behind my table a comment just escaped my lips: “Sounds like he was ready on time though”. I hadn’t said it super loud but it wasn’t exactly as whisper, but the lady heard me and she just LOST it.

When she turned to start yelling at our table she found all 4 of us were in agreement with her man and she was the one in the wrong and then when she got up to storm off she yelled “ITS RUDE TO LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLES CONVERSATIONS” at our whole table. At that moment a guy at another table across the restaurant yelled “it’s rude to have a loud argument that the whole restaurant has to listen to”. That lady turned bright red and stormed off.

I do hope that guy got out of that relationship… She seemed like a real nightmare.

Yeah I can rationalize how one storeight stay open in an area, but 3 of them? With the rent in that shopping center there was no goddamn way they were paying employees and keeping the lights on.

I have long held the belief that all these mattress stores are all a front for something.

There’s a shopping center nearby that has three of them. THREE MATTRESS STORES WITHIN THROWING DISTANCE OF EACH OTHER.

Mattresses are like a once every 10 years purchase. How the fuck is there enough foot traffic to support 3 of them mother fuckers that close together?

When I worked across the street from them I never saw any of them having big sales or anything. Nobody I knew anyone that worked at any of them. They never seemed busy. Never saw trucks bringing in stock.

It doesn’t add up.

I like playing games that incentivise stealth as Michael Bay films. Give me rocket launchers and c4. Yeah I don’t have the high score for the level but I will kill literally every single non-vital NPC.

Says the company that has said this about every single version of their glass for the last 10+ years?

Don’t get me wrong I love how durable and scratch resistant modern phone screens are compared to the first ones, but let’s not kid ourselves. These are tiny incremental improvements each generation at this point.

Obviously we install a padded arm that grabs the pedestrians and throws them back onto the curb so they learn not to just walk out in front of the moving vehicles.

Idk how it is where y’all live but generally people only jaywalk when there aren’t cars driving on the road at that moment. Other than crosswalks it’s kinda expected that if you are going to jaywalk you are going to do it when no car will have to stop or slow down to avoid you. Obviously not everyone follows that rule but generally speaking.

I had a friend that worked for them in the past. They really aren’t that impressive. They get stuck constantly. While the tech down the line might be revolutionary for people who cannot drive for whatever reason right now it still needs a LOT of work.

My heavy CS days were early in csgo days. Back when the skin gambling scene and the pro scene were popping early on. My buddies and I would watch the pro games and then get all hyped to improve and we would jump into ranked only to get fucking pub stomped. Good times. Eventually we did start getting good. I only ever got to whatever rank was below global and only two of my buddies ever got to global.

However my top fps bragging moment was actually in valorant when it was a closed beta still I absolutely shat all over pro csgo player at the time named JDM in a lobby. Top fragged and completely dominated him the entire match.

That was when I peaked in my fps gaming lol. It’s all been downhill since. I’m still better than most people at fps games in general, but I am not as sharp and snappy as I was when I was a younger man with way more free time to practice and improve every night.

They wouldn’t say “you’re getting beaten by a girl” as much as they would respond to the guys losing their minds who happened to be below them on the scoreboard by saying things like “Why are you yelling at her she’s playing better than you are shut up”. Kinda way.

And the worst part of it is that probably half of those hours happened within a few years in the middle there. I played like 6 hours a night every night with my friends. Good times but yeah…

If it makes you feel any better those hours were spread out over the last 10 years or longer. I can’t even remember when I started. Just one of those ol’ reliable games for me.

I have ~10k hours in counterstrike across multi game versions and accounts. I noticed a similar thing over my years. The players doing well in a match were often neutral towards gamer girls, but the guy having a shit match would be the fastest sack of shit every time. Especially if one of the top fraggers pointed out they were being beaten by a girl.

Obviously there are always exceptions to any rules but in my anecdotal experience the guys who were confident in their abilities didn’t care about women but losers would attack them just for speaking.

Pretty much all the racing games from my childhood. I remember them having super realistic grip and aerodynamics, but playing them again compared to even sorta SIM modern racing games today is just night and day.

I will blame my 1000+ hours in beamNG for some of that. Once you have seen super detailed soft body physics it’s hard to play anything that doesn’t have it. Wreckfest 1 had a decent hybrid soft/ridged system that worked for that game. Seems the second game that just dropped on early access improves on it some, but I’m gonna wait for the full release before I pull the trigger on that one.
