Obviously, the history of Lemmy does have a history that skews left. Why lie about it? But I believe that the left is also supportive of free speech, and that does not mean that they have an obligation to include me on their left wing instances or something, but they at least have some kind of obligation to entertain the thought that it is possible to be on Lemmy, on an instance that is welcoming of all sort of content, and post conservative content without being some troll.

I suppose this strikes home with me simply because I hate the idea of being thought of as a bad faith poster.

It’s fine to hate me for my political stances, sure, I get it - I was young and thought all my detractors once were evil…

But, plz, for the love of God, there can be Lemmy instances in the Fediverse that are conservative, and not everything is about annoying you.

    Thanks! Your post was absolutely what I needed… Just a reminder that someone else is out there with a positive perspective. ^^

    It is Firday, anyway, and I do a bit of a digital detox every weekend… and this is a LONG weekend, going to spend it with the family and already have a lot of fun stuff planned. Another family may be coming over, and their dad is a punk rocker from back in the day with more tattoos than me (and I got sleeves…!), and I already told him that we might just sit in the living room listening to a bunch of old punk while the kids play… Plus the other good family friends we have just returned from their vacation…

    It’s going to be a lovely, long Spring weekend with the tastes of early summer.

    So, I will just enjoy the day and have a good, nice detox this weekend, lol. I do not even feel like stepping away right now. ^^

      I love the stupid subs like shitty ask. The crazy shit they say makes me laugh and gets my mind off the negativity that can too often be found here sometimes.
