I saw the controller and tv and honestly thought the comic was going to end with him being forced to update to play, and then not having time anymore once the update finished. At least that’s always my experience with my console, which is probably why I don’t play on it anymore lol
I think not being in control of your environment, by not making sure your stuff is playable and updating ahead of time if needed is the most childlike behavior.
If they already don’t have time to play video games, what makes you think they have time to boot up everything just to install some updates? Also, I don’t know about you (or OP) but I certainly don’t PLAN my video game time days or weeks in advance. Maybe this is just my interpretation, but I think that first panel can be read as “Oh good, I have some unexpected time on my hands. Moght as well play video games” but I think your interpretation is closer to “Finally, I’ve been waiting for this moment for ages”
