Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand attacked Zohran Mamdani this week with Islamophobic falsehoods, later partially walking back the comments. It’s of a piece with Gillibrand’s indifference to the genocidal Israeli war that is increasingly outraging New Yorkers.
See, this is where the arguments come in. The holy book for all is pretty vague, and they kind of go with the times of the period one reads it and what religion (or non) you are. Jesus was Jewish and Christianity didn’t start until much later. Every single disciple and follower that Jesus knew, called themselves a Jew until they died. There was a lot of overlap.
