I think the good guys will ultimately win and make the American Dream a reality. Unfortunately, we will all have to bleed and suffer to get there. We just have to be willing to accept the price that some of us won’t live enough to experience our best life. I am bracing myself, for the possibility of dying or worse in service of my state against fascism.
This conflict will make it clear whom among us are people are genuine friends and allies. The bitter edge is that many people we trusted will have their true colors revealed.
The “American” Dream was always a bullshit idea. What could be accomplished in America that couldn’t be accomplished in many, many other parts of the world?
The American Dream is a mirror held by two different types of people: those who wish themselves to be above others no matter the cost, and the others who desire to simply live a pleasant life in peace, without having to harm others in doing so.
The nation is splitting apart, these two different mindsets will be forming their own countries I expect.
