Babbitt, 35, was an Air Force veteran who was fatally shot by Capitol police while protesting Donald Trump’s defeat in the 2020 presidential election.
Though I think we can all agree what she was doing was inappropriate climbing through that window, it’s also pretty easy to say that she shouldn’t have been killed by the police and it’s nice to see someone honored for their duty outside of the one event that caused her death.

The cop’s reaction was completely appropriate. She was trying to break through a barricade designed to protect law enforcement in a hallway, who were standing between the rioters and lawmakers.
In 2016, a number of congressmen broke the rules to try to contest the election. It’s a matter of public record.
Should they be shot?
Those congressmen didn’t resort to violence, but at the very least they should be disqualified as lawmakers due to the insurrection clause.
