I’m wondering how many of those Guardsmen are not on board with this. They joined to protect Americans, not threaten them.

Most just joined to play soldier on the weekends and look badass to their buddies, and they’ll be thrilled to go point their gun at someone, even if it’s their neighbors, but at least some of them have to be thinking that they didn’t join up for this.

If I were a guardsman, I’d be thinking that it’s a good idea to show in uniform, and switch sides. Probably a fantasy, but I’d love to see it.
