Smash Bros ultimate. I also enjoyed Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Inscryption and the various emulators that come with the live subscription thing
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
I’m not sure if I really prefer it to Breath of the Wild which was a very impressive game and literally sets the stage for TotK but the the possibility to explore this somewhat familiar map vertically was a lot of fun for me.
pity there is almost nothing above or below the ground. The verticality was utterly wasted
I disagree, there’s quite a lot. Granted, the Depths can get a little repetitive but there’s nevertheless a lot to explore. Same goes for the Sky. There are whole dungeons to be found.
The legend of zelda: breath of the wild. Super mario odyssey was also very good
Kingdom
Metroid Dread. Super satisfying final boss fight, the E.M.M.I. bots encountered throughout the game were true to the game’s namesake and 360° aiming introduced in Metroid: Samus Returns still works great. Out of all Metroid games I’ve played (Other M didn’t happen, fight me) this was by far the most intense one.
Fire emblem warriors: Three hopes
Dynasty warriors gameplay/Fire emblem story
Turns out replacing the ancient gameplay makes fire emblem actually fun to play.
They also removed all the weird marrying mechanics.
And I still have no idea how, after Fates’ omega crap story, they managed to write a story that’s not only good, but also one where the heroes are actual heroes, and not some stupid status quo defenders like in seemingly every book ever.
