Also true, but I do think Greenland would be a whole new level of humiliation. With Nordstream they still managed to convince enough of the public that nobody knows who did it. This isn’t going to be something you can sweep under the carpet.
Denmark was complaining when US founded military base in Greenland originally, they were made to shut up after joining NATO. So this is ongoing humilation for 80 years already, but it’s ok since they don’t yell about it. I have zero expectations even open annexation will make libs confront reality, they will just said that it’s for the better. Even if Trump do it, their objections towars him instantly evaporated when he “did the right thing in their book” by kidnapping Maduro.

You may well be right here. There appears to be an unlimited capacity for debasement in Europe when it comes to the US.
