NorCal will just elect another like him. A shitload of boomer retirees moved to NorCal over the last decade +. The Sacramento/Northern California people made Rush Limbaugh popular, so I don’t think we’re going to see much of a change.
I lived in Northern California for a good stretch and can confirm this is absolutely true. The area is solid Trump country, and it’s not just the boomer retirees that will continue to elect regressive politicians. The younger people are just as regressive if not worst because a lot of them seem to take pride in doubling down on conservative and conspiracy based ideology.
The largest town in Northern California (Redding) refuses to build any structure larger than 3 stories ffs. One of the most backwards and frankly odd places I’ve ever lived. Would never go back.
