There’s a huge difference between talking about antinatalism and attacking people for fun on the internet. What you’re doing isn’t intellectual or altruistic, it’s just another flavor of narcissism and bile.

Right, because climate collapse and resource depletion aren’t real problems and each new child born isn’t massively adding to this strain on the world and speeding up the timeline.

You going to tell your kids that you knew how bad it was going to get but didn’t care because you just wanted a baby so badly?

What you’re doing doesn’t affect any of that, honey.

Being a jerk for fun and patting yourself on the back about it isn’t activism. It doesn’t help.

You literally are just enjoying being toxic.

Why is my telling people the impact of their decisions something you consider toxic?

I’m not wrong and I’ve literally given undisputable scientic sources for my arguments.

Do you just not like seeing people talk about the very real consequences of your actions?

Is that what is upsetting you to the point of lashing out, attacking my character, and calling me names?

Being a parent has often had this virtuous narrative attached to it, and I think a lot of society is clinging to that. It’s undisputable that bringing a child into existence cannot be done consensually, and equally so you cannot do that and guarantee that they won’t suffer. To exist is to suffer, the two are intrinsically linked.

However, people don’t like to have their world views upturned, so it’s easier to dismiss, diminish, or ridicule an argument that you don’t have a proper response to, than it is to absorb it and consider that perhaps it carries some merit.

My actions? I’m literally not having children.

You’re so busy trying to say anything you can to get at anyone around you that you’re not even paying attention.

I get it. The world is a bit of a mess and it’s disheartening. But making everyone your enemy doesn’t make you part of the solution.
