For most of U.S. history, general strikes have been rare–not because workers lacked the will to fight, but because the ruling class moved quickly and violently whenever that power surfaced.
I have a 401k and I say fuck it: general strike these assholes. The innumerable gains we’d see by wresting back control of the country would make decimating it worth it, plus I’m likely to die in the Climate Wars™ before retirement age anyhow.
Isn’t the point of a 401k that if you get fired for striking you can keep your retirement?
It’s not like a pension where you lose it if you’re not at the company for X years

Yeah same, I’d back a general strike. Whether I have a 401k doesn’t even enter into the picture.
