    They’re Americans. The key thing is that relatively few people vote in primaries; on average about 20% of eligible voters, but in some places, as low as 3%. This means that turnout greatly impacts ideology, which in turn means that the money to run a turnout operation during the primaries makes a huge difference. So electing better Democrats means four things:

    • Mobilize your friends
    • Volunteer when you can
    • Give what you can afford
    • Actually vote during primaries
