The moment the current regime ends, ICE needs to be disbanded, and people has to be held accountable.
There needs to be a completely new organization for dealing with immigration, this one has been and continues to be rolling in shit so deep you can’t get the stink out.
ICE and DHS both need to be disbanded, they’re useless organizations whose function can be met equally or better by other groups. DHS has always been a sad joke of an agency, let the FBI/CIA, federal marshals or state troops handle that stuff. Likewise ICE has no need to exist, anything they do can just as easily be handled by some other law enforcement agency.
Worst case scenario they create a new agency with no law enforcement powers to handle immigration paperwork. Make them a pure bureaucracy that only exists to file reports and help people go through the immigration process. If someone over stays their visa then the immigration bureau can refer that person to traditional LEOs at the state or federal level. There’s no reason at all why they need a dedicated law enforcement agency purely for immigrants.
He may vote no but Schumer will round up enough votes for it to pass. And the rest will stand back claiming they did their best. The entire party is complicit

It goes beyond flip-flopping. It looks like a party of calculated self-sabotage. It appears Schumer organizes votes to ensure there are just enough dissenters that he and others can pretend to want the right thing but hey, what can they do, unfortunately they just didn’t get enough votes. Every time. All that changes is who they pick to be on dissent duty.
You’ll see it for about a week before some Democrats “care about the American people’s* suffering” and vote with their Republican party to fund more ICE murders and the leadership go “well at least we tried”.
DNC will need to do a lot of work before i believe they’re anything but controlled opposition.

Part of the script would be to point out that the cuts the conservatives made under their fake “doge” were only harming and killing people, and didn’t really save any money at all. The liberal DOGE aims to get rid of “waste, fraud and abuse” that is actively harmful.
Those assholes that sat there and smiled the biggest of shit-eating grins knew full well that they were actively trolling everyone that was not a stupid redcap when they kept repeating “waste, fraud and abuse” “waste, fraud and abuse” like good little parrots. “Congressman” is a generic term that covers people in both houses of Congress.
Huh, I usually call house of reps Congress members and refer to senators as senator.
Also since Schiff only recently ascended from the house of reps to the Senate, wanted to clarify his current role.
Most people do the same. While it is technically correct that congressman applies to both houses, it’s generally understood that if you’re referring to a member of the senate they’re referred to as a senator rather than as a congressman and that therefore if you say “congressman” you’re implicitly not referring to a member of the senate but a member of the house of representatives.

It is infuriating to see how many people think the legislative branch is divided into Senate and Congress. Or worse, how many people think the 3 branches of government are “the President, Congress, and Senate.”
