    How is this NOT government censorship? How is this NOT a direct violation of everyone’s freedom of speech rights???

    edit: yes I Know tikkk tokkk is a private company, but they are doing the censorship at the direction of, and for the benefit of the white house.

      On March 13, 2024, the United States House of Representatives passed the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA) with largely bipartisan support from Democratic and Republican representatives.[21][22] It would ban operations related to the app completely within the country unless ByteDance makes a qualified divestiture as determined by the US president.

      It’s is explicitly government censorship and the power to do this was granted to the president by a bill passed under and signed by Biden (just before they lost the election)

      I would argue it wouldn’t be a violation normally, but since the government forced the sale I’d say it is. If they can just force any platform that doesn’t play along to sell to someone who will, that’s not a free market.
