It was like, “yeah … okay … what about the other stuff … ?”
Yeah, this comes across as admitting to a small thing to try and avoid consequences for the big thing. If we’re already in a place where we’re talking about a man with a life of elicit affairs while spending time around a child sex trafficker, it is absurdly unbelievable that at no point did those wires get crossed or that he was unaware of what he was getting himself into.
No sympathy here. If he is admitting to that, no reason to believe him on the kid stuff, better do a very deep look.

The term for this is “trickle truthing”, and it’s a common tactic when someone gets caught doing something terrible.
