Abrego Garcia, whose mistaken deportation has galvanized both sides of the immigration debate, claims that the criminal prosecution is vindictive, pushed by officials from President Donald Trump’s administration to punish him after they were forced to bring him back to the United States.
Trafficking people ACROSS State Lines is
ILLEGAL!LEGAL!ILLEGAL again! So we can expect Greg Abbott to be up on charges any day now?
The criminal prosecution is simply claiming that he drove people to work across state lines. People who he is alleged to have known were in the country illegally.
Probably the average American has no idea that’s a crime of any sort. I think I could probably convince most Americans that it shouldn’t be a crime, because it really shouldn’t be.
The police officers who pulled him over didn’t even give him a ticket. That’s an indication of how serious a crime this is.
The government offered a plea deal to the person who planned and concocted the idea in order to charge Abrego Garcia. They offered to let the ringleader (as much as you can be one in this situation) off the hook in order to charge some random driver.
More of the typical “Arrest first, figure out the charges later” policing
the average American has no idea that’s a crime of any sort.
It’s impossible to definitely say in the US that one hasn’t committed any crime.
Next up, the lawsuit by KAG against the trump admin for false persecution, kidnapping, etc, etc.
