The mistake was running a geriatric against Trump back in 2020. It was a losing move for Biden to stay in the race as long as he did, it would have been just as much of a losing move to hold a primary before he left the race, and there wasn’t enough time to hold a primary once he did step back. If the president hadn’t been 81 years old and was in a stable mental state they wouldn’t have needed to leave the race, and Trump would most likely have lost. Fingers crossed whoever runs against the republicans next time (assuming there is a next time) learns from that mistake and platforms someone in their 50s instead.

I think we would be closer to all those things than we are now, having backslid on every single one of those metrics since Trump took office.

I’ll never touch Mac, partly because I have issues with Apple’s business practices, and partly because I manage to break every single piece of software I touch and I’m not confident I’d be able to unbreak a mac, but if not for those factors I actually would be more likely to use it over Windows on the off chance I encounter things I can’t do on Linux.

Volume of requests and power consumption requirements unrelated to requests made, at least I have to assume. Certainly doesn’t help that google has forced me to make a request to their ai every time I run a standard search.

Cool, now how much power was consumed before even a single prompt was ran in training that model, and how much power is consumed on an ongoing basis adding new data to those AI models even without user prompts. Also how much power was consumed with each query before AI was shoved down our throats, and how many prompts does an average user make per day?

Funny enough my reason for dual booting has nothing to do with anti-cheat I think, rather it’s because a couple of my more graphically intensive games will randomly cause my entire system to completely freeze while I’m on linux and they don’t on windows. (I also have a couple games that I would need to fiddle with wine to get them to work, but the primary motivation is the system freeze)

Oh I totally get it, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is currently the official stance of the Taiwanese government that they are not a distinct nation from the rest of China. Who knows though, that might change in five to ten years.

Isn’t the reason that just about nobody officially recognizes Taiwan as an independent county is that Taiwan themselves don’t recognize themselves as independent? Last I heard both mainland China and Taiwan officially consider there to be just one country, with there simply being a dispute over which government is the rightful one.

To be fair to them these things take some time, especially when their legislature isn’t in session and so can’t pass laws.
