No preorder for me. I almost do the opposite. I buy games after they get cheap in 1 to 5 years, lol

Interesting to me is some new cars will auto brake before crashing, so I guess the issue is “fixed”.

This is true

Manjaro is the gateway to vanilla Arch install

KDE works and Arch is easy to install.

10 years ago, I tried KDE and I hated it. Infact, I always thought KDE sucked. About three years ago, I tried it again and it was surprisingly better. I love that I didn’t have to spend multiple hours to just get it tweaked right.

Plasma is so good recently
Any of the big named distros should be good enough. If you run into a snag, try a different one. Every distro claims to do it the best way. Choice is a great thing. BTW - If you install Arch .🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Valve’s Steam Deck uses it and 🔥🔥🚒🚒🚒🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

These articles always remind me of 80s Hulk Hogan with him taking about how big Hulamania is getting.

They’re going to be heroes when they fix Windows

Money talks! I’m planning on buying it when launched.

I doubt it. On the Windows platform, Valve has to do what Microsoft decides. If Microsoft decides all apps are required to go through the Microsoft store app then Valve would be toast.

Lol, my dumb computer is running DDR3 / no TPM, it’s super old. I have been waiting for video cards to get better/cheaper. I’m totally down with not the fastest. If it plays 90% of my games, costs less than $600. I just read that it’s six times more powerful than the Steam Deck. The Steam Deck can run Cyberpunk 2077, so this will do just fine. Another thing that I really like is that Valve is verifying games for their hardware. The games it can’t run, I guess I won’t play. I’m sold!

I was hesitant about upgrading my ancient computer because I didn’t want to spend $1,200 - $2000 on a new setup. This looks like a great option.

It’s great for controlling the minds if millions.

“fridge, I need a 12 pack of beer and two large pizzas”. Uber eats shows up 45 minutes later. We’re all doomed! Ha ha ha.
I liked it when I used it a couple years ago. But I did have update bork my computer.

Devo was right.
The nvidia kernel version problem stumped me and I’ve been running Linux forever. I hope they can get it working better. And don’t buy Nvidia.
