They’re going to stay there making bank off of insider trading until they’re so ancient someone accidentally walks through and disperses the dust cloud known as Pelosi, and they finally decide they have enough money to reach supply-side Jesus.

Using the find function on my phone browser doesn’t find it but it does come up when manually scrolling and as long as you don’t move too far the find works. I’m thinking there is some sort of rendering magic going on, would explain why scrolling is so fast.
Windows documentation is an absolute mess. The only reason you can claim it is “documented” is the sheer volume of users, but that’s not necessarily a good thing when suggested fixes include registry edits, disabling security features, and running everything as an admin.
Just about every major advance in technology like this enhanced the power of the capitalists who owned it and took power away from the workers who were displaced.
It’s all in one place. You look at your “feed” of things and your stuff with a new post every week is right there with the stuff with new posts every ten minutes.
RSS exists, sadly average people just couldn’t figure out how to use it.
The hardware is 10 years old and it wasn’t even shiny at the time. Shield is a damned joke.
About 10 years old actually. It’s the TI-83 of streaming boxes at this point: an absolute fucking rip-off. Pretty on-brand for Nvidia though.
Don’t give your TV wifi access, use a separate device to watch stuff (Chromecast, FireTV, Android box, etc…)
strap in because there aren’t many decent tutorials
Yeah I’ve noticed. It was rough figuring out how to set up a reverse proxy with SSL too. Self-hosting is a process.
I self-host Collabora (online version of LibreOffice; OnlyOffice is another option), and my data lives on my NAS, but it could just as easily live on S3 or some distributed data store.
Oh this is interesting. Any pitfalls you could talk about before I go popping this up myself?
Business that stole everyone’s information to train a model complains that businesses can steal information to train models.
Yeah I’ll pour one out for folks who promised to open-source their model and then backed out the moment the money appeared… Wankers.
For Canadian Right to Repair advocates: CanRepair is a brand new advocacy group started by R2R advocates from all over the country. The first Annual General Meeting is on March 25. Sign up to be a member and go to the AGM!
Here’s a fun one: tell a conservative that rich people are doomed to go to hell. If they ask how you figure that, quote:
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God
Without fail their programming will kick in and you will get some lengthy blog post with stupid reasoning about how what Jesus was actually talking about was some rock formation and some other dumb shit. Meanwhile you can just read the verses before and after for context and it’s pretty damn clear what was meant: greed is a form of evil.
This is the difference between reading the Bible and having it explained to you.
Another fun one: tell them God prefers atheists to vague believers. Prepare for another programmed blog post about how Jesus was actually referring to the taste of the water at some town that completely ignores the context of the book itself.
He went in for the 2000 year old schizopost.
I’ve been eyeing Amazfit’s watches hard, ever since I saw a coworker with one. Wasn’t interested in smartwatches before due to all the compromises each one makes but their watches seem like they’re actually good from what I can tell.
Google rugpulls shit way too often for me to take the risk.
It’s like how revolutionary battery technology is always just months away.
Can you actually understand mumble rappers?
Seriously though I find these accessibility discussions very informative and they make me think about how I develop things and share information. Thank you for sharing.
Canada buys old shit and then gets it fixed up by our oligarchs. Our procurement system is just a bunch of make-rich projects.
Reminds me of the old 4chan joke: “I’m straight so anything that makes my dick hard is a woman.”
