  • Same strategy here. I’m in the U.S. and tariffs were my big concern. In December, I waited for the Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX to go on sale and I paid less than MSRP for it brand new. Having experienced both the disasters of the previous two GPU gens, I had the foresight that the launch of the next gen cards would also be a disaster, and here we are.

PC Gaming has become a rich person’s hobby.

Buy current gen right before the next gen launches, and you’ll be set. I expect to get 10 years out of my card, with the incredible performance, build quality, and 24 GB VRAM.

  • Ooh! You sound sexy and I definitely want to be your pen pal! I’ve sent you a DM!

Also, I have a great business opportunity for you if you’re interested! Have you ever heard of NFTs?

NFTs went away for a while because of crime and scams, but they fixed all those problems I swear. NFTs are the sexiest investment a sexy person could make, and they’re even better now that the leaders are implementing AI! It’s going to be revolutionary! It’s like E = Mc2, but now it’s E = Mc2 + AI. It’s the bees knees! It’ll make Stephen Hawking blush! I’ll help broker it for you, and if you send me 1 NFT, I will send you 2 back just because I like you.

Can’t wait for your reply!! ❤️

  • X and Y introduced Mega Evolution, arguably one of the greatest iterative improvements in Pokémon.

With the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A in 2025, I’m thinking about replaying X and Y.

Scarlet and Violet were so disappointing that I too am hesitant about future Pokémon games. But I’ll keep my eyes and ears peeled to see how their upcoming games are. I no longer am a day one buyer of Pokémon games, after being burned badly on the rushed Scarlet/Violet games.

  • It’s good to see clips from Loops as the Fediverse is trying to get their competitor to TikTok and whatever the other competitors from Facebook and YouTube are called. Loops can be a good thing but it’s still very nascent, so I appreciate OP making posts for Loops content to try to inform others and spread awareness. But I’d rather see an occasional cat video or something, as on Lemmy I prefer reading over watching stuff. I’m not the target audience for short form videos.

The short clip summarises the About page of GOG. https://www.gog.com/about_gog

Cool to spread awareness for people that are on those platforms and enjoy swiping through short videos. But here? Nah we’re okay. Plus I speculate the majority on Lemmy knows the value of GOG compared to more public places like Reddit.

Imagine pulling up to McDonald’s after a shitty day at work and this asshole is working the window?

If you hand him cash or card, he’ll steal it and say the immigrants took your money and to ask Kamala why they keep letting this happen. By the time you get your meal, Trump would’ve taken a bite out of your burger and left poop smears inside the bag.

  • I hear you dude. That 10+ year reputation is what drove me to buy their stuff, along with all the glowing user recommendations.

I heard that you can make the rubber last longer on mice by periodically cleaning them to slow their chance of breaking down, but I never experienced the rubber actually separating. That happened to my spouse’s Razer mouse (heh, that rhymes).

But I suppose that, apart from this whole post’s focus on “as a service”, that possibly Logi products have begun to go downhill quite recently. I wouldn’t know, all of mine have been great. Sucks for your MX mouse, but I feel you on the uncertainty of buying future Logi mice.

Such a shame too because I always recommended the G502. I love the feel, the ergonomics, and the button placement. I love the customizeable weights you can swap in. I used to play with all the weights, but then over the years I took them all out and now use none. My aim got better in FPS games - I went from steaming hot garbage to just regular garbage LOL.

I’m going to watch a couple review videos of the G13 to see if it’s up my alley. And if yes, I’ll add that bad boy to my watch lists and pick up a used one if I can score it for a decent price.
