That’s why we’re armed so heavily!
That’s why we’re armed so heavily!
Some of us are face blind and this could be helpful.
No fucking way I’d trust meta not to exploit it though, so this is a hard pass.
He should have ensured in the four years he had that Trump was prosecuted, found guilty, and sentenced to federal prison for his part in January 6th.
“Paid search engine” <— no thanks.
I’m never giving epic games a dime, I can assure you if that.
This is one of those things many people seem to think will be a win but will actually suck once every app is able to charge you directly.
Meanwhile gen-x: So have we. Plus growing up during the Cold War, Iran hostage crisis, and 9/11.
Yes it sucks.
All that surveillance and they let all the criminals go free anyways…so, what’s the point?
They’re not using these to catch criminals - that’d be like expecting anti-gun laws to give murderers pause. No, they use them to make people like you and me pay hundreds of dollars when the light goes from yellow to red while we’re in the intersection or close enough to it that we couldn’t safely stop without stopping literally in the middle of it all. That’s what this is about - making people like us pay. Not actual criminals who commit a crime that they would be arrested for.
the move is a first step toward the broader deployment of those cameras, a tool that has the potential to dramatically improve traffic safety across the city if implemented well.
It’s Seattle. It will not, sadly, be implemented well.
Agreed. I have a compromise. They can put in all the cameras they want - but absolutely cannot, upon pain of losing 50% of their total budget for a year per violation - outsource or subcontract the operations or anything akin to the operations of the system at all. Hire IT staff to run it, pay people to process the data. No you can’t use AI. Do this or fuck off, Seattle.
I will never ever forget when a red light camera came to Redmond, at the turn leading to driving through Microsoft’s campus. Can you guess what happens when you piss of a bunch of smart motivated people who have money and aren’t necessarily the kindest people? That shit got challenged and removed after about six months. I still see the stump/the concrete it was embedded when when I go to my buddy’s house, and it warms my heart literally every. single. fucking. time.
That’s why I play using a PC and not a console. Though PC components have also been overpriced for years.
Keep in mind that many of us voted for Harris, way too many of us either didn’t care enough to vote or withheld voting because Harris wasn’t ready to nuke Israel, and the rest voted for shitler.
So no, motherfucker, this isn’t what I voted for. Edit: In case I wasn’t clear: I voted for Harris.
Clearly the governor has bigger balls than everyone else involved. More power to her.
More like if there’s nobody left to be alarmed then there’s no alarm.
Yes, I care. Anyone who doesn’t shouldn’t be within the US borders.
Sorry I don’t buy games that sold out to Epic.
Or I do, but I wait until they’re $8 on Steam.
Fuck that guy though. Probably get someone else to be your Linux spokesman.
Yeah? Well I fucking love it on my iPhone. It’s summaries have been amazing, almost prescient. No, Siri hasn’t turned my phone into a Holodeck yet but I’m okay with that.
And gen-x has lived through everything listed and more. Boomers even more. Think gen-x gets to retire? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA good one!
