Yeah I remember being on a call the night of the invasion with a Russian comrade, we were both still under the impression they would not invade and it was just more US scaremongering but as soon as they did we both came to the same conclusion, the west would press Ukraine to fight to the end and it would and badly for them. Your framing is extremely dishonest. We simply recognize the one itable outcome and wish western governments and the Nazi captured Ukraine regime would stop pressing unwilling people into a clearly unwinnable war. We have been correct about this position from the start.
