Sooner than you think you will die. And only at that point will you realize that you spent most of your life depressed about bullshit rather than actually living in the moment and enjoying your life
I agree with you regarding Lemmy and leaning left. But none of us actually learn anything if we are in the right or left hive mind. And though it would be a long shot to form a group with no labels re “no tribes” it would be interesting if we could do it. Lemmy has far too many “dead” communities already. Posts and comments are 6 months or longer ago. We don’t need an other which is what we would have without upfront support
thanks for the links. I checked. One is really dead. Few posts and many days between them. the other one appears totally slanted to one side.
Bowtie for any duck. But not for humans.
I’ve heard of “hexbear” what’s it all about?
thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a try
right clicking and saving it is not an option
One suggestion to increase participation on Lemmy of those already here is to encourage people to spend some time just looking at the “all new posts” feed. I look at it a few times per day and was surprised at the number of Lemmy groups that I never knew existed. There are far to many groups here that started out good and just faded away. If it’s an interest of yours post there and try to rejuvenate the group. Message the existing moderator if you can be added as a mod for that group.
This perm ban lasted 2 days. The reddit ban bullshit is really getting out of hand. I’ve made many posts here regarding how their “report” system is totally fucked up. Yet they continue to allow those who spend their days “reporting” posts and comments. The tool admin then site bans you. You make a coherent logical appeal and eventually an Admin who is sane reinstates you. I have never seen or experienced this nonsense with Lemmy. I wish we could get more exposure over at reddit as an easy to deal with alternative. Also - this has been mentioned before, But - would you rather interact with a post that has 40 or 50 comments max like Lemmy or the usual reddit thing of 500 comments which insure that no one will ever read your comment
