My coworker once when I asked him a hard question: “Don’t make me lie to you.”
I still think of that a lot and try to work it in when someone asks me an impossible question.

As someone else said: it doesn’t replace streaming even a little. Pirating is replacing buying music directly. Streaming facilitates finding new music and trying it out. Being able to listen to anything at any time. You simply can’t do that with downloads; no one can download everything. Piracy in this case really just works for people still listening to their highschool favs and not people looking for new stuff all the time.
Compliments and repeating what they say back to them while asking questions, I’ve found.
It’s so tiring seeing the men coming in and deliberately misunderstanding what’s being discussed. They will do literally anything, appear dumb as rocks, to not recognize rape culture and admit potentially any fault or responsibility towards it’s continued existence. They take everything personally instead of being able to see that societal problems there are also responsible for helping to fix.

Most people are empathetic and decent. This sounds like apologia or projection. Evil people think everyone else is just as evil and that’s how they rationalize it.
Sealioning is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity, and feigning ignorance of the subject matter.
Often the troll will just shift slightly and keep making demands regardless of evidence.

Oh I will.

Yep. I’m a patron of Elk and it’s always disheartening to see them ask everyone to boost it on reddit. I understand it’s their best platform, but it’d be nice for other platforms to also be utilized. I mostly just don’t see Pizzacake anymore unless I open instagram.
Corps figured out sustained income was better than marketing and making products. All they had to do was take away every digital product and turn it into a subscription.
Then they’ll buy each other up until they are an effective monopoly and raise prices forever.
I don’t see a way out of this for products already captured if you need them.
