Thank you for this comparison. That’s a fun one and one that’s made a little more ‘subtle’ in the US if only because of how common that language is among the populace in regions and how pervasive protestantism is in advertising/messaging.

I feel that. My family is from the south, and then they moved to a shitty midwest state, brought all their racist bullshit with them. I just stopped going to events, changing my number today even to avoid the texts and calls from people who already know why I don’t talk to them. So far, none of them able-to-be/worth saving, maybe some little cousins but I can’t exactly reach them.
It keeps the naturally predated-upon Sushi safe from the, although diminutive, aggressive Wasabi who’s, known for a solitary nature when in the wild.

Why is it that if he’s a dumb young 20 he can’t gain any intelligence? Why is the line I keep seeing from people “well he didn’t know at the time, and that’s damning enough”, like, do you know anyone who has ever signed up for the military at 18-25 to bd ‘smart’ or informed?

Thank you for this. I gave it a good (confusing) read, they could stand to type in less capitals.
I can see the regulations outlined, but not that he was turned away for it being a known nazi symbol or anything based on that description, it sounds like he got a tattoo without clearing it or reporting it on his paperwork and chose not to appeal, based on his words there in the reddit post.
I appreciate you finding that for me, it was hard to parse all the google garbage

Thanks anyway! Yeah military jargon and acronyms out the ass go hand in hand and any manager that’s a vet I’ve worked for just tosses them around like ‘sentence enhancers’.

If you know about MARADMIN, can you elaborate on what he means? I looked it up and understand it as a kind of code of conduct, but don’t see what changed in 2007, just that he said a USMC based tattoo was what prevented him.

Can you give a source on that or a general direction on where to look? I’ve heard about the tattoo and looked into it during the initial controversy and did not find that information at the time.

Prior to Gamefaqs, I myself was perusing Gamewinners.com…a similar forum site lol

I have a little, it’s to try and get me and my partner the hell out of this state. Not enough for a house, but enough for a used car and a u-haul and first and last month’s rent somewhere else.
A lot of us are living paycheck to paycheck, we’re lucky to be a bit above that and not have kids. Almost all the people we know from high school and college are in worse boats than us.

And advocating for a general strike is ILLEGAL and a very easy charge in Trump’s America at this point.
I’ve been rolling around forums and whatnot to see the interest for such topics, and they seem high, but no one is talking about what I’m supposed to do to pay for my pets and apartment when I have 0 support structures in a deeply red state. They don’t treat the homeless very well here, and it’s freezing half the year.
Not that you’re saying it’s easy, you rightly pointed out food too. I just wish there were more resources, or ways to get connected. My community does the No Kings protests, but most of them balked at the Kirk shooting so they’re not quite radicalized enough for the other actions that a not-entirely-peaceful protest would bring.

I have pets that need fed, rent that needs paid, and survival to keep in mind.
Can you link me to resources to help me provide for those things while I’m 24/7 rioting?

SHIT I need that, just looked through post history and he’s got a lot of ‘my body my choice’ answers to vaccines too.
Well, one more blocked knucklehead

I don’t know what the server rules are, but there’s a good chance (if it’s like others I see) it requires the poster to post the headline exactly as it’s written. And that’s the headline the link uses.
Sensationalism, yes. But reporting him might not really be worth the mod’s time if that’s a rule for this instance.

Second time playing through, played before Lex Arbites and picked it up again after.
Genuinely, only had 1 crash on this run, maybe 3 on the last. All happened on Qetza Temer. But the uneven balance I can agree with. I’m playing through on the difficulty above medium (whatever it’s called) and now that I’m in the 4th act, sometimes they knock a party member in the first turn, sometimes my arch-militant will kick one guy down and stun him, shoot 7 more and kill 4, Heroic Action, more shooting, boss already compromised and surrounded by my melee and Cassia is making EVERYBODY whack him down.
Love it. It frustrates me. If it wasn’t Warhammer, it would only be a 6.5-7/10, but it’s so jam packed with lore tie ins that if you like the universe it’s at least a solid 8-9 for the love they put into it and continual update/community feedback. But that’s just like, my opinion, man
If you’re talking about my girl Keira Metz, she’s a witch, not a standard alchemist. Woman definitely engages in performance enhancing magic
I think you could get more creative with your language, with that knowledge. If nothing else, reading the Bible (or catching the cliffs notes) and getting a firm understanding of ‘The Classics’ gives you an immense wealth of phrases and references to help illustrate your point that are so ingrained in Western culture and media that you’re likely to strike more points with it than without.
I’m still making my way through that herculean effort, that sisyphusian task. I struggled like Odysseus returning home to get through the Bible the first time, but once you get through all the parables and their Lot, there are some really interesting stories that make for easy metaphors and similes.

I’ve had good luck with Sunshine/Moonlight, though I haven’t tried it in the last 6 months or so. Was using it to stream my much beefier desktop to my Rog Ally while in bed when I hurt my back.
There was a slight latency, like, enough to notice that I notice, but hardly enough to catch when fully engaged. But the PC was getting like 200 frames in the games I was playing and that was limited to the 120fps limit I set for Moonlight (i think it let’s you bypass this to go higher, but I didn’t want to at the time).

Loops…kind of sucks. I get the point of it, but I tried using it like 15 minutes a day for a couple weeks to get used to it, but the features are lacking and the content is…well it’s filled with people who would abandon tiktok and other apps, so, it’s kind of boring.
Not in a ‘there’s no brainrot’ way, in a ‘this is the third video in a row of just random AI slop and then it’s just some dude filming a tree for 20 seconds’.
Speaking from experience on the opposite side, I’ve never networked for my career and have not been unemployed for any long stretch of time.
Mass apply to all relevant positions within distance in the field, tailored 3 versions of a resume and a basic editable cover letter (fucking hate those too but that’s another gripe). Get a few bites, investigate the company and salary ranges if possible, be upfront about expectations at the first interview and I’m usually in a job by the 10th or so company.
But I’m in tech (level 1 and 2, Service Desk and Tech Support roles) and have a B.A. in a completely unrelated field, so, your mileage may vary
