Turns out you’re correct. I appreciate the correction.

Vegas is almost entirely powered by the hoover dam. It’s already pretty green as far as energy goes. The question will be where do they get their power from in a few years when lake mead dries up.
I’m not passing blame. Just giving an example.
I can kind of feel the author on this. I’m in charge of a lot of “special projects” at work that basically come down to, “figure out a way to replicate this extremely expensive technology or software using low cost or free alternatives”. It ends up being an unholy mix of programs and hardware that is held together with duct tape and super glue and any minor perturbation means something breaks.
They share similarities for sure. I’ve not used it though. I know unraid offers a 30 day testing license. Not sure about the others.
If all you’re doing is plex and a minecraft server, look into proxmox or unraid.
Unraid is paid but very noob friendly compared to most others. It’s also very flexible hardware wise.
If you don’t see progress, it’s because you’re not paying attention. Each test flight of starship has performed better than the last.
Bluetooth and USB speakerphones seem to work fairly well as both mic and speaker. I think thr sennheiser sp20 has been in a couple tinkerers posts I’ve seen.
The older I get, the more becoming a robot tiger seems like as good a retirement plan as I’m gonna get.
The question is, at that price can you really afford not to?
Their biggest risk right now is doing something to lose the trust of the community. Most users have zero money actually invested in home assistant, as opposed to something like Alexa and Google home. That makes it a lot easier to jump ship to an alternative. I think that’s a big part of why they’ve started the foundation.
Digital zoom is just cropping and enlarging. You’re not actually changing any of the data. There may be enhancement applied to the enlarged image afterwards but that’s a separate process.
Make that a sample size of two. I wanted a tesla as soon as my current car gives out but I won’t go anywhere near them now because of Musk. I know there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism but giving money to Musk is a bridge too far for me.
I still hope SpaceX succeeds despite him though.
This is exactly why Stadia failed. I honestly think if it was a service like Gamepass Ultimate where the games come with the sub, it would’ve been a success. Spending $60 on a game I can only play via Google’s service though? removed no. Never. Not in a million years.
The problem is separating out the work that does rely on hours worked vs ones that don’t.
Running a stamping machine? Yeah, your run time is going to be pretty much proportional to your output.
Working a desk job doing research and generating reports? The better you are at it, the more you can do, and eventually you just outrun the workload. Then you shit twiddling your thumbs for no reason.
No. Absolutely not. Whenever anyone says, “wouldn’t it be great to live forever” remember that means people like trump and Musk are with us forever. Unless people take things into their own hands, but that’s another issue.
