Nonsense. You seem to think the USA is everywhere and you don’t understand the difference between states and individuals. Trump has zero authority in Vatican state. The pope does not leave Vatican state and “go home” anywhere. Not ever, except for official visits. Trump can fuck wall outlets or squirrels but he has absolutely no viable way to screw with the pope - he can’t even threat to sanction the Vatican as he did with Sweden and whoever else, because the do not export anything. He can’t freeze his payments because he literally owns nothing. Right: the pope does not recieve a salary and does not have any personal belongings. He doesn’t need to pay for anything (there are people in his entourage who will do that for him) he does not need to own something, the Vatican will provide anything the pope requires.
Sounds like herecy to me. Oh, wait they’re protestants - they actually are heretics. Religion is a funny thing to watch from the ouitside.
Beauty comes from the inside.
Trump putting pressure on the pontifex maximus? I’m not a catholic but I’d say that might be somewhat difficult but certainly interesting. You are aware that the pope is head of his own state and doesn’t give a fuck about American legislation or sanctions? The US can’t even invade Vatican State without triggering article 5 of the NATO manifesto which might cause even more interesting political turbulences. Specifically with the more strictly catholic NATO members first of all, obviously, Italy.
As an atheist I don’t really have a horse in that race but I can’t help remarking that these “christian” Americans sound a lot like the bad kind of satanists to me. Usually I am finding satanists quite amusing as they tend to piss off the orther zealots, but these guys are just disgusting. The worst about them is that they might actually believe the shit they are talking.
Actually, they never stopped manufacturing for the German army. Except for a couple of years after WWII.
No. Debian updates tend to be interruption free. Apt/dpkg is a lot more consistent than RPM and deals very nicely with dependencies in both directions.
Snaps are a pest and Ubuntu is more or less a failed experiment. I had way less trouble installing and maintaining a couple of plain vanilla Debian hosts than Ubuntu machines for years. The killer argument for Ubuntu was easiness of installation. Nowadays a standard Debian install is a matter of a few clicks. Sure a custom install like encrypted LVM over several partitions is still a demanding task even for an ecperienced user - but at least it is possible.
The bleeding edge distro is called “unstable”, not “Arch”. /s
Because he set the general, evil directions for MS. Like keeping users uninformed and locked in, smearing the competition, sabotaging open standards, taking your control over your hardware and data away from users, etc. All happened during evil Bill’s reign.
I’m running Linux everywhere incuding the machine I am writing on right now. I have one single dual boot machine with Windows 10 as the mainly used OS for the simple reason that I need to run one specific software (and some of the “ecosystem” around it) that is not available for Linux. The only alternative is Apple which is even worse in my opinion. So I think I’ll be forced to update. All the rest of my daily computing stuff has been moved to Linux for a long time.
I haven’t bought a single TV in my whole life and I haven’t missed anything important. Whenever I am somewhere where there’s a TV and I’ve got nothing better to do or I’m just curious I zap through the channels whithout finding anything remotely interesting or entertaining 99% of the time. I really wonder what people want with these ad-infested, annoying trashcans. Aren’t you dumb enough, yet? Try heavy drinking. Preferrably methanol or break fluid…
Reddit is fucking dead, nowadays. You can’t seriously call that “living”. Ok, braindead at least
I’ve been boycotting Amazon since the days when they were an ugly data grabbing bookstore and I’ll happily go on until the end of time.
OTOH, I’ve been using a HP laser printer for years and the last time I spent 40€ for toner was almost two years ago. Just stay away from shitty inksquirters or even shittier “multi-function-devices”. They are customer-rippoff devices without real use, nothing else. Honestly, if you think you need to print colorful, fuzzy pictures that will fade at the first streak of sunlight you probably had it coming.
Is there no immunity of parlamentarians in the US? Not a rhetoric question, I just don’t know.
