I have also expressed doubt about nightreign in the past but am on board now. And calling elden ring part of the enshitification process is absolutely ridiculous. I dont care if you’re a “fromsoft purist”, elden ring is a phenomenal game by any metric.

I stopped naming most of my pokemon as a kid because I would choose a name that fit the initial form but wasnt always good for the evolutions. Plus I couldnt remember all of the evolution names and wanted to see those. I always name my Link “Lonk” in zelda games though and it makes me chuckle every time

Elden Ring is getting close to 1600 hours for me 😅 and I have about 1200 in Stellaris. But I probably played Jak and Daxter and Metroid Prime for thousands of unrecorded hours as a kid.

I’ll never forget that sheer confounded rage I felt when I installed the game after a few years and suddenly didnt have any of the content I had paid for anymore. ~$120 at least was just fucking gone. They never even responded to my emails about it either. Garbage

I grew up on Edgar Rice Burroughs, and this brings back a lot of memories! I had a paperback copy of this but it wasnt the same art. However, it had the same overall theme and feel.

I do this as well. One day I was in a hurry on a lunch break and I was getting batteries and a sandwich, literally two items in a single bag. The person stepped in front of me and started to ask to see my receipt and I just snapped out “no thank you” but when they just stepped aside I realized there was no reason to ever let them and I havent since.
