Of course it’s preferable, but don’t pretend like it’s a good choice in any respect other than not literally being the worst

They didn’t say “hating their subject”. They said “might not like their syllabus”, which could just mean they’d prefer a different syllabus.
And bicycles aren’t French bulldogs. So what?
Smart enough to not fall for such an obvious deflection, at any rate.
Liberals are just fascists with better PR. They absolutely cannot be reasoned with, as evidenced by the democrats being exactly as complicit in the genocide as the republicans. No reasoning has managed to convince that party that Palestine deserves to exist.
Just admit what you really mean:
“The democrats may be just as genocidal outside of our country, but at least they’re not genociding inside our country like the republicans would”.
Or, put simply, “the democrats are evil in a way that doesn’t impact me”.
So, what was so insane? Feeling guilty over contributing to it?
That example may be bad, but it’s also typical.
False confidence is real, but it’s silly to think all confidence is false.
Do you honestly believe there is no greater poverty in America than “can’t buy the latest phone”? What about the swathes of people who struggle to keep a roof over their heads?
Do you dispute that the US armed Israel for their genocide?
That analogy would work if people were genuinely as identical, thoughtless and replaceable as grains of rice.
That would be a brilliant point if anyone, at all, ever, advocated for senseless killing.
Thanks!
If you’re gonna say anything other than “but but they’re literally not the same, so therefore they can’t be compared”, get back to me. Go talk to some actual humans and learn how we speak, learn the nuance in language required to understand that “liberals are fascist” is not saying “the definition of liberalism is identical to that of fascists”.
Liberals support and prop up fascists, both materially by carrying their policies through without challenge, and also ideologically by giving a false vision of “The Left”, while edging further and further right, limiting the horizon of what politics can be. If the “good guy” is barely different from the “bad guy”, surely the bad guy can’t really be that bad… right?
They are both bourgeois parties serving the same corporate and imperial interests. Liberals are just smarter and like to throw in some welfare and pander to progressive causes so their outright villainy is less obvious.
