Two reasons:
- Kicking Hitler’s corpse is a cheap way to pretend to care for human life, without improving anything. But fighting a present genocide could actually prevent it. There might also be pushback. The adage: liberals oppose all wars, except the current war.
- Europe and its successors (like US and Australia) genocided many red, brown, and yellow peoples. Hitler was meant to genocide slavs (not fully white) and especially communists, but escaped the leash and killed too many French, Jews and other whites.
Expenditure does not measure real power. The US lost to Yemen, which has a 630× smaller GDP, so its military expenditure is certainly hundreds of times less than the US.
