Funny you say this. I’ve been screaming at my usb c to mini display port adapter for the last hour or so. getting the idisplay or what they are called to work on my work laptop is just agony, because the adapter is so old and doesn‘t work properly anymore and the thing doesn’t offer any other connection methods…

Especially for stuff like medical implants

Yeah it’s the package. The semi broken entryspec mbp from 2015 I got to repair and keep has a mousepad that is at least on par with my current 2 yo high tier thinkpad. Now take a laptop from that era and the difference becomes more noticeable.

Yeah it would’ve been like that for pcs too if they weren’t around for quite longer.

And because it might not be that legal or ethical or a good look to customers, they‘d rather not disclose it and hide the revenue partly through their „normal“ ad business or other venues. But that’s just my guess.
