      There are a ton of preexisting links to the old reports. They come up high when you do a search. People will mistakenly continue to treat them as credible as a result

        There’s a LOT of reports that cite these too. This is going to snowball fast to erase scientific consensus, because a lot of studies build on these governmental reports.

      It gives a ton of people one more argument to deny the facts.

      It’s also an emotional thing. It “vindicates” everybody who has been saying that nobody should trust these government reports. Either the new government has “fixed” the lies. Or the new government “also” lies. Either way, it muddies the water.

      It will fool a lot of people. A large chunk of Americans have been fooled for the past several decades by things like this

      They’ll latch onto anything that let’s them continue destroying the environment because they don’t want to change
