Yeah I didn’t mean to come down on the side of “shut it down” just that they have a history of absurdity even if they do mean well. I phrased myself poorly.
It may be because luminary and no one requires you to buy energystar but this affects millions of consumer decisions every year. This adds up to a huge number every year and is a huge part of what little we do to slow climate change
