Gov. Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia said his state would send 300 to 400 troops to Washington, while Gov. Henry McMaster of South Carolina pledged 200 members. Gov. Mike DeWine said he would send another 150.

    Eh, national guard is quite different. It’s not their full time job and most of what they’ve done historically is helping out during natural disasters, and things like that. It’s mostly community service, with military training in case someone invades the US.

    Now it’s being used for something else though. Anyone who signs up at this point can see what they’re doing with it.
