Eh, national guard is quite different. It’s not their full time job and most of what they’ve done historically is helping out during natural disasters, and things like that. It’s mostly community service, with military training in case someone invades the US.
Now it’s being used for something else though. Anyone who signs up at this point can see what they’re doing with it.
I’m quite sure some are. I have no idea if it’s most or even a sizable portion, but…I know of anecdotal cases at least.
They might love other people doing this, but may be a bit pissed at personally being made to go dance for the spectacle of authoritarianism. Not that they object to the overall theme, just their personal inconvenience.
