    Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

      Slavery is allowed if you’re deemed a criminal… No wonder America is so keen on incarcerating criminality, rather than rehabilitation.

      No wonder that politicians and CEOs are repeatedly saying that criminality has nothing to do with poverty or living conditions.
