    That’s really what much of the conservative agenda boils down to.

    I’m honestly surprised they didn’t spike the GI Bill over deep concerns about how the “undeserving” (Blacks) might have benefited, too. Turns out they worked very hard to withhold those benefits from Blacks, but didn’t nuke the whole thing.

    I wouldn’t be surprised to see similar things happen if Taco were to somehow fall ass-back into single payer (he was talking like a single payer advocate last week, whether he knew it or not, LOL) - whites get the benefits, POC get zillions of hurdles and excuses, at least as a general rule.

      They didn’t have a choice. As FDR said, “The New Deal is the only option that America has to prevent socialism from taking root in the US for the next 100 years.” It was absolutely a threat to the GOP, but he knew it for the bandaid that it was.

      The GOP didn’t listen, and have successfully torn the whole thing down in a mere 80 years, and democratic socialism looks pretty good to well over 70% of the US, they just won’t agree with that label. The policies they will.
