“The short-term strategy is, win the House of Representatives,” stated the former president, garnering applause. “Because that’s going to be the circuit breaker that will give us control of one major component of the federal government. With that as a bulwark, we’re now able to block some of the worst impulses that are coming out of this White House.”

The former president laid out a two-pronged strategy for Democrats: to reclaim a House majority next year, and to work on honing the party’s messaging in the coming years.

“Long term, let’s tell a story, a better story about who we are as Americans and what we share,” Obama said, according to excerpts shared with CBS News. “We have to tell the story that makes people who feel outside that process, we’ve got to bring them back in.”

Yeah the . . . whatever the left is supposed to be as represented on here has really knocked it out of the park the last year in identifying candidates and building support for them.

Perfect for sitting out the midterms and three more years of Jack Squat. So by 2028 everyone will yet again be in an insane froth about not voting at all and/or the terribleness of the Democratic nominee.

There’s no way it’ll be anything different. If the ghost of MLK Jr ran on the Dem ticket these fuckers would be like “y’know he was against trans rights” or “he didn’t fight against the Vietnam war enough” and whatever else the FSB pumped out until something stuck.

Sure, Newsom’s terrible. He’s going to put us back on track and we have to let whatever monstrosity the republiQans cook up win because we can’t support a candidate that isn’t 100% pure. Ok.

And if AOC runs not a single thing will change.

See this reinforces blue maga where the implication a dem will be movable to the left.

It’s not even the primary and we have people saying we can be critical.

Almost like they aren’t a part of the dnc or allowed in

I thought it was “f**k the DNC, who needs ‘em”? Now we’re onboard with changing them? Pick a lane, people.

I’m all for changing them, who’s our leader then? Not Newsom, I presume.

There isn’t one, precisely because dnc does not do anything to grow people. Especially ones that would challenge the status quo.

Now we’re onboard with changing them? Pick

Funny keep seeing dnc say they only need former republican voters not anyone else. Wild they are losing support

Here’s a perfect example of losing another election. Since we only agree on 90% of all issues that continues to make so much sense.

it’s okay, they’re only doing the worst 10% the same, so you better vote for those who are fine with you not being able to afford anything or have rights

You’re literally living in the shitbowl you helped create and continue to argue for more of it.
