Just for the record: “Texas city” = Arlington, TX. It’s located about 1/2 way between Dallas and Fort Worth. Population 394,266 in 2020. Part of the D-FW Complex, “Throughout Dallas–Fort Worth, there is a large lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. Since 2005, DFW has constituted one of the largest LGBT communities in Texas.[1][2][3][4]” First Gay Pride Parade in 1980. So they are attempting to reverse / erase 45 years of history. Former, and reformed resident of Dallas; Dallas pride is in September because June is too hot. Just a fun fact. When I lived there in 2008-2011 the police were still raiding gay bars and beating up gay men.
