Isn’t he directly saying that she’s smoking, though? It seems like from her perspective he just used a pickup line about something he thought she was doing, she corrected him and (presumably) started to mention how it’s way healthier than cigarettes, and he noped out.

In the first panels she is clearly not vaping, I think the pick up line is that she is “smokin’ hot” and then shes completely misinterprets it and pulls out her vape
