In the distant future, mankind will struggle to survive. Food will be scarce. Few buildings will remain standing. The very air and water may be so toxic as to cause hideous mutations.

But haute couture body suits will never fall out of fashion.

They got a hell of a lot of mileage out of Kevin Eastman’s wife, lol.

Oh shit, and I just realised that she died a few years ago:

In her 20s, Strain fell off a horse where she suffered severe back and head trauma; the latter led to her development of retrograde amnesia.[3][5] By November 2018, her boyfriend Dave Gram announced that she was in the late stages of dementia, believed to be a result of the fall, and she was receiving hospice care at home. --WP

So, passed away at 58yo from a major concussion caused by a horse fall. I’m kind of amazed this isn’t more common across history, or maybe it is. :S

If you include people that fell off a horse and died quickly from their injuries, it sure is!!

Though I bet there are many cases of crazy people who came from undiagnosed head injury. Probably thousands of just Amnesia or CTE, let alone the myriad other issues head injury can produce.

This is also happening (or possibly happened, not sure if she passed away) to a reporter that lost an eye from a ‘less lethal’ round while covering 2020 protests. Linda Tirado, if anyone wants to read more about her.

Knew that looked familiar, was used for the Heavy Metal cover January 1997. Simon Bisley also did the cover for the movie Heavy Metal 2000 which I think was teased in that issue.

Heavy Metal 2000 wasn’t that great, worth a watch to check a box. But remembering all this makes me want to rewatch Heavy Metal (1981) it’s an animated anthology, with a great soundtrack. That was an all time favorite of mine.

Also, she has mad popeye arm going on…

But her biceps on either arm look like they’d struggle to pick up groceries, let alone heavy weapons…

Then why are her forearms largely OK? It’s her upper arms that are noodles, which is just more ridiculous.

For as absolutely excellent as the rest of his art is, those proportions on those female arms is embarassing.

I dont know, its a fantasy artwork, I don’t think we can make sense of something that inherently is not based on reality.

I think it is important to note that while the two are often conflated, fantasy does not mean ideal or perfect. It only means something that is not reality.

Oh, I was doing Taekwondo in my teens - all of us were “Man’s health cover” down from chest level, but had dinosaur hands. Because punches give no points.
