It’s not like Denmark is a stranger to poor choices for ice cream.

The same company also offers this one:

It sounds like it’s intentional at this point.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Gaytime

The company appears to embrace the camp name by retaining the tagline from the 1980s, “It’s hard to have a Gaytime on your own”. Footage from the 1980s commercials were reused in 2015 to celebrate the launch of the new flavours. The in-home boxes feature the words “4 delicious chances to have a gay time”.[15] Ads featuring the slogan also occasionally featured men who would accidentally get into risqué positions whilst trying to get a Gaytime.

In Australia, kids wear thongs to the beach.

In the US, kids root for sport.

Swap the country of either statement, and it gets super creepy.

Best ice cream name here imo. I love how they stick to it unashamedly. I’m a straight woman and I love a golden gaytime lol

Dickmann‘s is a Brand. The general name is „Schaumkuss“ or „Schokoschaumkuss“. They had pretty racist names in the past and taste great

Well, good to know we weren’t the only ones with the racist names (feels like ages ago, but it wasn’t even that long ago). Schaumkuss makes sense though, they just changed them to the Dutch equivalent of “kuss” here.

I think the origin was 100% racist. But most people just used the words without thinking about the origin.

When I was s kid, they had racist names. It was just the name like a bicycle is called a bicycle. You just used the name. The realization came later when I was older and knew that the words can also be used as a slur.

To be fair though, Germany changed a lot since the 90s. Racism was way worse in the 90s/00s than now.
