If they ever work towards PC gaming, there is money in the Prototype IP.

On reddit, the Prototype sub is THE most positive, hopeful and passionate sub I have ever stumbled upon. That community is very active, super nice and helpful; it’s kind of odd given how the game is basically about being violent and bad to other people.

Yeah if they can bring them prototype back that would be great I feel like the games haven’t aged well graphically speaking. So even just an HD rerelease would be great.

Hothead Games was a Vancouver-based studio which developed such titles as Penny Arcade Adventures and DeathSpank, before moving onto mobile games. It went bankrupt in late 2024.

Shouldn’t have moved to mobile. 🤷‍♂️

The site says the studio is open for work for hire full game development, on mobile or console games.

    Uh oh…

PC might be implied in “console games”. It’s actually insane to not make a PC version these days if you’re targeting console.

        • Was thinking the same, but more in that consoles are basically low-mid level PCs and the games have to be built using PCs to begin with so it might just seem redundant specifying the work on games that would also release for PC even tho the target hardware is gonna be the console market.

Consoles have never been more PCs than now.

In the past, especially with the likes of the PS3, there was a bit of a distinction, so you can see the rationale behind maybe not releasing a PC version of a game, or vice versa. But these days with the PS5 and whatever the hell the Xbox is called, not so much.
