It does seem a lot of games pivoted from cheap enough so everyone will buy it, to whale hunting. They had people run numbers and found whale hunting paid off more, and how much $ they could charge for a skin combined with FOMO before driving the whales away.

That moment is actually 100% what made me realize we’re fucked. I waited for weeks for any sign of the public in large to be like, “Yoooo, he legitimately thought he could fool people with that?! I’d imagine it’s just feeling threatened. If multiple people swarm your car and start physically hitting it, I’d argue they just fucked around and are fair game for finding out.

Sadly, my crystal ball tells me some old women is going to blow off the handle and run people over, claiming she felt threatened as an excuse.

I was accepted into the test of this game. I don’t play Siege at all anymore, but was excited to see their “fixed” audio in action, and the new game mode with limited operators seemed fun and fresh.

The audio was considerably worse. Sound literally was unable to go through doorways and windows.

I also noticed when spectating that like >1/2 of players would die from getting shot in the back. Like completely oblivious someone else was nearby. Then I realized basically no one could hear anything, like at all. We couldn’t hear gadgets, glass breaking, barriers being thrown up or torn down, foot steps; just faint gunshots if they were only one room away.

I hate gambling, but if possible I’d consider betting big $ it’s not fixed, at all.
