Every Republican in Congress that isn’t speaking up (so all of them) are literal traitors to our nation. And we’re paying them to be traitors.

Assuming we correct course and stop our spiral into authoritarianism in 4 years, we’re going to have to completely rebuild our entire federal tech infrastructure. It simply can’t be trusted after these traitors. The possibility of backdoors is simply too high. It’s going to cost billions and billions of dollars.
We’re all going to need new Social Security numbers, because this dumbfuck now has them all on his private servers.
Oddly enough, I still went to Digg sometimes if I was stuck at work without anything else to look at.
Looks like another website is going into my website graveyard.
Welcome.
Best advice I can give you is to just give Lemmy some time. It can feel a bit empty at first because there’s less content than Reddit but
I’ve been on here 4 months and have already seen a major increase in users.
Spend some time seeking out subs and joining. At first I wasn’t finding enough new content to keep me occupied during various downtimes during the day, but now I’ve got more than enough new stuff every day to keep me entertained.
Fediverse complexity is definitely part of it. But it does keep some of the riff raff out.
I’m rocking a chest full of badges then.
I said “It’s ok to punch Nazis” and my 13 year old account was insta-banned.
Reddit it trash.
Welcome. I joined 4 months ago and I’ve already seen a noticeable increase in users. Join some subs and your feed will start filling out nicely and you’ll stop thinking about Reddit.
“Shithole website continues circling toilet.”
Seriously.
I don’t want a tablet in my pocket all day.
I bought my current phone because it was small and the options I had when looking for small phones were extremely limited.
I’m not trying to seriously game on a smartphone. I’m not trying to watch full length movies. It’s in my pocket 90% of the time. I want it to be small.
Lol. I left Reddit because of automated moderation.
One of the best ever made. I remember a SS2 remaster/remake being in the works a few years ago, but it got cancelled.
Yeah, the remake was really good, but I’ll warn you, it’s pretty hard. Like, frustratingly hard. And if I remember you can’t change the difficulty mid-game, so you may just want to play it on easier difficulty.
Sven-Coop for Half-Life 1.
I’ve played, almost daily, since the mod was released in January 1999. Over a quarter century. I’ve got admin in a number of servers, so a lot of days I’m just hopping on briefly to make sure the servers are running smoothly and no one is trolling. New maps are still being regularly released, many by people who have been mapping for it for a solid 15-20 years.
No idea of total hours. It wasn’t added to Steam until 2016, but I have multiple thousands of hours logged since then. I’ve got to be over 10-12k hours since the beginning. Easily.
Everything else in my life has shifted. Sven-Coop is my rock.
It’s always a good idea to block racist platforms lorded over by a troll who will delete comments that oppose him.
Racists and other easily influenced weak-minded individuals.
Been using Signal for years. Love it.
Makes sense than an anti-free speech dipshit like Elon Musk would oppose it.
The AI moderation was it for me.
The only way reddit is useful to me now is for finding user’s answers to questions using a google search. For which I do not need to login or contribute to the site.
At this point Spez’s idiocy is common knowledge.
The whole 3rd party app debacle cemented it.
