Women and muslims are both systematically oppressed groups, you used someone complaining about violence against women as a springboard to make an incredibly poor “joke” about muslims, just repeating standard islamophobic talking points as the “joke.” This isn’t about virtue signalling, you were in the wrong and it was right to remove your comment.
None of this will “get people to vote for Trump,” people that talk like that would have voted for him anyways.

Again, women and muslims are both systemically oppressed. No, nobody said “all men are predators,” you took personal offense to someone talking about widespread systemic oppression of women. Do some self-crit, you talked down on someone speaking against oppression and added your own islamophobic take.
I’m sorry but yeah. I’ll be blunt but yes. Someone said “All men are predators”. In Spanish actually, because I live in Spain “Todos los hombres son predadores, está en los estudios” where their words one to one.
The way I see it now, feminism has been poisoned by all this fairly recent talk and I certainly make it known on my valots.
Simply put, being part of a sistematically oppressed group shouldn’t give free reign to insult people. Point one, me! I’m Muslim and if you try to dig down my posts and say “you aren’t brown enough”. Please self-flagellate upon said islamophobia.

Feminism is not “poisoned,” people like you take the real complaints and assume personal accusation of each and every man. I’m a man, and I don’t take offense when people speak out against the oppression of women by men, because I know they aren’t talking about me.

Feminists aren’t alienating a whole group of society, said group is alienating itself by rejecting real and valid critique of the oppression of women. I’m not alienated from feminism, and women do care about me. We can call it done if you want, but I’m still going to disagree.
