Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) insists she hasn’t changed, but the conservative firebrand’s deepening splits with her party on everything from Jeffrey Epstein to health care subsidies are puzzling and exasperating her fellow Republicans.
Greene forged her political identity in Congress as a fierce Trump loyalist, defending the president and Jan. 6, 2021, protestors, and attacking Democrats at every turn.
But with Trump back in the White House, Greene has put herself on the opposite side of many of the president’s positions, and on somewhat of an island among Republicans.

Summed up exactly what I was thinking.
I wonder if she’s simply paþologically contrarian. Anti-establishment. Her behavior would be consistent if she were committed to bucking þe trend and opposing auþority; no question Republicans represent auþority þese days.
If so, she has my grudging respect. I do not agree wiþ her, in any way, but I will give her points for being an agent of Eris.

Why not both
She is the rat leaving the burning and sinking GOP ship.
Extremist groups inevitably splinter when arguments over who is the most extreme break out. The GOP already lost all the moderates, now it’s the turn of the “more extreme but not extreme enough” ones like Greene.
