It must be difficult to be an American watching Trump destroy the country your ancestors have been building for hundreds of years. He has caused massive generational and irreversible damage at this point and its only getting worse.

Oh, and China just set a trade surplus record above 1 trillion thanks to Trump, first and only country to do that, how is all that winning going?

I basically already have (years ago). But when you’ve got family that hasn’t been cut off, the ones who have still manage to make appearances.

Can’t, my grandmother is elderly and I’m the only one of her kids/grandkids who talks to her, not really her fault on that one my mother is insane my uncle was stupid and the other grandkids are more or less different family outside of blood due to custody or cutoff reasons. Also she is also effectively my mother and is the woman who raised me.

Figure I can work out any frustration by car bombing random trumpers if a civil war breaks out.

From my experience they just say “ that didn’t really happen, that was twisted into a lie, he wouldn’t ever do that “ - these people never, ever admit anything that is proven to be true. It’s always some contrarian, idiotic “ I know better than you “ take. It’s hopeless.

It’s insanely difficult. All of this shit has substantially changed who I am at my core. I opted not to leave the country a few years back because my parents wouldn’t have been able to get in anywhere else for being too old.

Now I’m pretty much waiting around for this whole thing to get rebooted.

That’s part of the problem. Everyone is standing around waiting for someone else to fix it for them.

You gotta pull together with others and work as a group to fight back.

I know group cooperation towards a common goal runs counter to the "nation of rugged individuals " mythos that Americans have for themselves, but that’s what it will take.

There have been protests nearly every single day since he took office. We’re already grouped together fighting back so you’re either uninformed or you’re calling for open revolt.

              So which is it.

I do wear an N95 in public. I had COVID twice and still have long COVID symptoms. I’ve refused to be cavalier with my health since the pandemic.

I also research who companies are owned by and take every step to obtain what I need from oligarchs either second hand or through extralegal means.

Generalizations only hurt you, my anti-capitalist friend.

Edit- correct me if I’m wrong, but how you’re coming across gives really heavy “everyone in the last 78 years is selfish to the core except me” vibes.

Just a reminder to any DC area contractors who may or may not be involved in upcoming unnamed construction projects: a couple bags of sugar or 2-liters of cola added to a truckload of concrete will drastically alter setting times and compromise the final strength of construction.

Just a fun little tidbit to tuck away in your brain for later.

A more important reminder to contractors: if Congress doen’t fund the slparticular project, you WILL NOT be paid for your work or materials. Trump signing the contract doesn’t make the federal government responsible for the cost and of course Donald won’t pay it from his own pocket.

Couple of bags (>= 2kg) or 2 liters of cola (200 g) to a truck load? Not only is there a magnitude difference, I also doubt that 2 kg will do that. Normal amounts are up to 0.1 %, say you need 0.5 % to make it significantly weaker. 10 cubic yards, 7.5 m³ of concrete, are about 18’000 kg. 0.5 % of that are 90 kg.

I see Donvict is focused on the most important matters. Let’s see:

Revenge against people like Boebert and Colorado in general (and in the process fucking with people’s drinking water, because he’s no leader at all but a spiteful little baby), writing the text for a set of plaques that go with pictures that are going to be torn down the minute he leaves office, putting his name on buildings he did nothing to contribute anything toward, tearing down the East wing and blathering on about some bullshit ballroom no one gave a fuck about before, and now a stupid arch.

Meanwhile, he and his idiots have done nearly everything possible to fuck up an economy that was the “envy of the world”, and it only seems to be getting worse.

This guy is such a fucking idiot.
