Online skeptics wondered if Mr. Miller had caught himself saying something he did not mean to. CNN says there was a technical glitch.

There will be no “declaration of martial law”. Things will simply “become” a state of effective martial law.

This was the quiet part out loud. I know its a pipe dream, but no deal Democrats. Don’t fund this government. Let it collapse under its own weight.

How long until the regime unilaterally takes control of funding from Congress? Why would they allow it to collapse?

No you won’t lol. I’m not saying we would do any different in Canada to be clear but the American public have shown their stripes. You will all do as you’re told.

If the blue states all stop cooperating and contributing to federal taxes, they would be able to fund themselves. But once too many of the red states started to collapse from funding shortfalls we’d probably be in civil war 2 territory.

A blue state that stopped businesses from paying taxes would be considered in insurrection, allowing military take over, which is what they want to happen so they can remove blue state governors by force.

that just means ICE and DHS carry on, funded…

Yes and no. From what I can gather, exempt employees continue to get paid (as their pay apparently comes from some sort of separate fund unless that fund is depleted) but excepted employees are not getting paid and would theoretically get back pay at the end.

So yeah, they’re there, but a decent chunk probably aren’t getting paid.

Paused my ass, he fucking froze as if his brain was broken and was very clearly trying to fake technical issues despite obviously swaying back and forth a bit. The cnn host had to cut with the claim of technical issues after Stephen refused to respond to the host saying “Stephen? Stephen are you there? Can you hear me?”

The dude realized he said Plenary authority, regretted immediately and instead of pivoting and making it seem like a mistake by correcting himself to “plenty”, his brain broke. Fuck off with this sane washing NY Times saying he “paused”. That implies he resumed after a couple seconds.

I don’t think he was trying to pretend he was frozen at all. He was swaying and his eyes were blinking. There’s no way he could be thinking, oh, they will think I froze. He said what he said and stopped because it was a fucking out loud warning that this is what they want, what the fuck will America do about it? The answer is nothing. This will roll along as it has been.

They only spent like 15-20 seconds top on the “can you hear me bit” while he stood there blinking like a moron. Should have kept the camera on him til he snapped out of it (at which point hammer him on what he meant by that) or just let him look like an idiot standing there blinking for an hour.

FFS, it’s not a conspiracy if they are actively and openly doing it.

It’s also good to know that Stephen Miller’s fear response is to freeze.

Plenary authority is the broad and effectively limitless power of a single government or the unrestricted power of government branches, departments, or officials over particular operations.

I’d never heard the term before, but now you have.

I heard the term in Dogma. They were referring to the power of the Catholic Church when they mentioned it. I honestly thought it was a purely religious term

Admittedly in Dogma they were talking about plenary indulgences more than plenary authority, but yeah. I don’t even remember hearing a priest talk about plenary authority, and my parents sent me to a Catholic school. We aren’t Catholic and I’m an obstantant shit, so I really tried to memorize all the logical inconsistencies, so I could be a PITA during religion classes. I got my 3rd grade religion teacher to retire 5 years early, because my younger brothers were coming up behind me, and she didn’t realize that they were much better behaved, lol.

Guests who appear remotely on television programs wear earpieces to hear the audio from the anchor who is interviewing them. CNN said that because of a technical error, an audio feed from a different CNN channel began playing in Mr. Miller’s ear. He could no longer hear Mr. Sanchez.

Yes, of course. I believe you. I have no reason not to. Fascists.

    Obvious issues aside:

Mr. Miller did not use the term again once the CNN interview resumed. After Mr. Sanchez repeated his question, Mr. Miller asserted that “the president has the authority anytime he believes federal resources are insufficient to federalize the National Guard to carry out a mission necessary for public safety.”

That circular logic means a president can always deploy the guard at anytime within the US.

Because there are laws preventing the use of actual arm, a president can claim they have no other options, so the guard is authorized.

It’s the same answer, just a little more complicated so people don’t understand.

He jumped slightly ahead in the timeline. The plan is to tell the military to shoot its own citizens, but they’re really fumbling the ball badly with Hegseth and Trump’s idiocy recently, and of course, now this fuckup.

They think if they just stick to the script the military will play ball, but as fucked up as the US military is, it takes a lot to be keen on going into your own homes and shooting your own families because an elderly orange shitstain tells you to.

There are plenty of people who seem more than willing (giddy even) to literally round people up, brutalize them, and send them to concentration camps. And not that it should matter, but US citizens are also getting caught up in it. They do not care.

It’s very simple he’s saying that Trump is the Fuhrer and can do whatever he wants. His worry is that he said it just a little bit too early. Wait a few more months once cities are fully occupied, concentration camps are built and their Gestapo is starting to round up “antifa” then they will be saying this freely.

It’s coming, and they know it’s coming. They just don’t want us to know it’s coming.

Well, guess what? It’s coming. They are just waiting until they lose all support from the courts, which is happening quickly. Once they can’t count on the courts to help them, they’ll just force the issue with violence and arrests.
